At Evie's Plus Size Fashions, we believe in celebrating your uniqueness by creating romantic and vintage style fashion in your size.
I'm Evie, and have been designing and manufacturing clothes for 35+ years. 15 years of that was also spent selling my own label in retail, where I learnt a huge amount from my customers as to their needs and wants. I have always specialised in plus sizes, as I understand that many fashion companies do not manufacture beyond size 16 or 18. Being a curvy woman, I still wanted to wear very fashionable clothing that was cut with style and elegance, and so the "House of Evie" was born.
I operate in a family run studio business in Tasmania, Australia, and sell only online now. All garments are hand made and great attention is paid to detail. I adore textiles and laces and cannot stop dreaming up designs that are inspired by the romance of a bygone era, such as Victorian/Edwardian fashion, (think Downton Abbey), or Hollywood retro glamour of 40's, 50's and 60's movies. I believe I can't design anything that is un-feminine, harsh or severe looking.
My label's major focus is on boho and vintage styling, that is cut to flatter any shape. The emphasis is always on beautiful fabrics, laces and trims, and with practical (mostly) elasticised backs for comfort and fit.
Most of the garments are made in-house, but with imported items, I have teamed with ethically run manufacturers who have employees over 21 years of age, and are family oriented businesses. They are also specifically operating to produce plus size garments, and I have personally interacted with them at length on the design, cut and pattern-making process to make sure garments are true to AU/UK/US plus sizing.
My in-house model wears a size L or 18-20AU/UK (14-16US) and is 170 cm tall. (See Sizing Chart)
I have FREE GIFT/s with every purchase, one of which at present is a lingerie/laundry/travelling bag which is used for packaging instead of plastic.
